Class IV laser- Direct Red Light Therapy
Aspen Apex Laser series
What is it?
The only laser device of its kind, the Apex Quad-Wave Laser Series features four wavelengths of 670nm, 810nm, 980nm and 1064nm, incorporates 15 watts of high power with each infrared wavelength mand 2 watts of the red wavelength for a combined total output of 47 watts.
What does it do?
Class IV lasers are used to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, primarily targeting pain relief, anti-inflammation, reducing scar tissue, and promoting healing of tissues like muscle, ligament, bone, and nerve.
- Angiogenesis & Neovasularization: an increase in oxygenated blood to the injured tissue accelerates tissue healing.
- Collagen Production: proper alignment and remodeling of collagen reduces internal scar formation and enhances tissue elasticity.
- Muscle Regeneration & Muscle Atrophy: repair damaged muscle fibers and activation of myogenic satellite cells leads to regeneration of muscle tissue.
- Inflammation & Edema: increase in inflammatory mediators such as macrophages, neutrophils and lymphocytes accelerates and resolves the inflammatory process.
- Nerve Regeneration: proliferation of growth factors promotes neuronal sprouting and myelin formation for optimal nerve recovery.
- Cartilage Production: increase in chondrocyte and collagen production allows for improved cartilage deposition and joint function.
Treatment for:
- Musculoskeletal conditions: tendinitis, bursitis, osteoarthritis, sprains, strains, ligament injuries, muscle contusions, TMJ disorders, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc.
- Sports injuries: Achilles tendinitis, tennis elbow, patellar tendonitis, concussions, fractures, rotator cuff injuries, DeQuervains Tenosynovitis, shin splints, meniscus injuries, etc.
- Chronic pain conditions: Fibromyalgia, myofascial pain, RA, OA, neuropathy, etc.
- Other conditions: Back and neck pain, disc pain, arthritis, nerve conditions, sciatica, etc,
- Pre and Post-surgical recovery: Class IV laser therapy can help speed up recovery before and after surgery, including C-section, other incisions, and reducing the look of scars.
